Likes: Good company and a good sense of humour, nature in all its guises, meeting new people and going to new places. Expanding her knowledge of many things including ancient civilisations, history, myths and lore. Battle re enactments, horse riding, going to the theatre or live music events.
Dislikes: Crowds, rudeness, those whom destroy their environment and those who hurt animals, not having enough time in the day to do all I want to do!
Wishes for: To enjoy the fae and fantasy worlds as the real world doesn't shine brightly enough.
Who is she?
Hayley has always needed to draw, ever since an early age. The first thing she can remember is always getting colouring pens and books each christmas and birthday and they would never last.
Fantasy has always been part of her development of childhood. Growing up in the countryside allowed her to 'see' those fairies and play in the wildness of the woods, something not many children get to do these days.
She gained qualifications in Art, 3D design and Ceramics. She has experience in teaching and loves to share her joy of being creative!
She feels that if you have an imagination, it doesn't mean you are limited to what you can understand and see, to believe. There is always something magical about a forest or a beach which the human mind can never comprehend but find entrancing.
Fairies and dragons DO live at the bottom of her garden!
Commissions..
Hayley is happy to do commission peices as well as requests from publishers. Her fairy series calendar has been printed and sold well, as well as illustrations for books for German fantasy author Bernhard Hennen and spiritual worker Fiona Kenchington as well as working for Medwyn Goodall - musician extrordnaire!
She is willing to do portraits, both of human or pet, and uses a variety of techniques and media.
The dream is to one day, have an exhibition of her work and to share her love of British folklore and the fae folk!
